#B4JO ~ What changes do we want in Jordan ?

The only thing I wanted to talk about in Blog for Jordan Day this year was how much I miss Jordan ! I never thought I would miss it this way ! the streets, the fruits, ElKnafeh, the frown people :D, my family & friends, our home, Everything ! but Since all these revolutions r taking place in the Arab world; it's impossible not to talk about it and make it the major topic this year; to think of how it's effecting Jordan. And as we witnessed; it does! with the protesting and the new government ! but as Jordanians! what do we want ? what the people will be asking for .... for a better Jordan ?

as a Jordanian I will list few things I would love to see them change in Jordan

1- First of all I WISH we stop having this paranoia from the General Intelligence! (almo5abarat) every time u wish to talk about anything someone jumps in ur face ! be careful ! once among 10 Jordanians is actually mo5abarat ! If I wanted to go in a peaceful protesting ! be careful ! ur name will be on the black list in almo5abaraat :S ......

The People want more freedom of speech !

2 - Jordan is the first destination for all the investors; because it's safe and stable - hope it stays like this forever - but where does this money go ?? to the government ? so why they r always complaining and always in debt ? we don't see that major general facilities ? I just wish to know where these money go ? (unless it goes to certain buckets) and since we pay all these taxes!

The People want to know where the money goes !

3 - After witnessing what is happening in Egypt I started to wonder ! Is there any hidden agenda trying to feed the regional prejudice (Palestinian/Jordanian) in Jordan like (Muslim/Christians) in Egypt ? it's a good way to keep people occupied with stupid things rather than thinking of what is going around them !!

We r all Jordanians ..... The People want equality, No biased and No mind manipulating

4 - The People want a Teachers Union !

5 - The People want higher salaries and lowering the prices !

6 - The People want Free and flawless elections!

7 - Why Jordanians don't smile ? we saw how funny the Egyptians r ! even in their darkest moments in their revolution, they were smiling and making fun of the whole situation !

The People want to smile and be happy !

8 - It kills me to see how people here in the state do their best to keep the country clean (don't know it's either to avoid paying a penalty if u throw something or for their love to the country or it's just a good habit) once I was walking next to the lake and saw a women with her kids wearing masks and gloves holding bags cleaning the park! for no money or anything! why don't we keep our Jordan clean! we don't want the people to hold bags and start cleaning! Just don't throw trash in the streets or the parks PLEASE!

9 - The People want the end of corruption and fair share in hiring ... no more wasta !! 

10 - The People want ........ such a beautiful sentence we've dreamed for a very long time to hear it ..... but hoping there r listeners; responding In Jordan ! The people want to be heard !

May Allah protect Jordan and all the Arab world ! 

Blog for Jordan Day - How to Love Jordan !

Proud to be part of the Great Project B4JO ..... a wonderful Idea gives us the chance to celebrate our love to Jordan .... each one .... his own way.

For me I will give some ideas on how we can love Jordan not just by saying but by doing it on daily bases; by actions !

It's very Obvious that for so many people Patriotism in Jordan means wearing the red and white hatta, putting certain pictures on cars and always playing Hashme and such songs .... I have no problem with that until this nice picture turns ugly!! when someone start acting badly or throwing trash from the car !! so is this ur Idea about patriotism? is this how u show ur care for ur country !! and what makes it worst if there r kids watching this crime ! I know it might seem a simple problem but I face it every day; watching kids turning their homeland into a dumpster and when I ask them "isn't this ur country that u should keep clean and Beautiful !! the one u love and care about !" they simply answer it's not our house we r throwing in It's Just the street !! Is this the way we want our kids to grow up ? having a wrong idea about how we love and care about our country ?! not by actions but Just by the appearances ?!! and I can give tens of example on such behaviors !

Another way to show how much we love our country ..... soon we will be participating in one of the biggest events in Jordan, which is the elections; I think each one should think million times before giving his/her voice to anybody.... and should make sure at least 70% that this person deserves it ! don't just think of ur personal interest because if u do; then later u can't blame the one u elected if he thinks the same way u did !

We can support the Jordanian Products from time to time .... that would help our economy .... I hope !

Asking for teachers association is a must; I don't know how to connect this with loving Jordan :D but it's a must !

All what we need is positive thinking, ways to make Jordan a better Place ! We owe that to our beloved country ..... Because it's Home after all !

Jordan !! What Can I say ?!!

I am glad to be part of this project where we can talk about our beloved country Jordan and what ever we say in good or bad we still love u Jordan and we r doing our best to make u the best country ever .... I wanted to talk about a specific thing but I will come up with different issues non related maybe but sure all about Jordan

-First of all being Palestinian by origin I have to say Jordan welcomed us as no body did and we shouldn't forget this even thu some people do, I talked about it before and I will say it again ... we consider Jordan as our substitute mother whom took good care of us and we will die taking care of it..... I hope we all know this so we clean our country from racism which we sadly still face; and I truly don't know why !!

-now about the Price hikes I guess every body will talk about it ..... but this is one of the biggest disadvantages in Jordan and I guess other countries started to take the Jordanian as an example for people who don't protest or reject what ever happened in their country ... every body is against the price hike but no body is saying any thing about it and we take it as it is !! I wish things become better because as for the young people it isn't ... which lead us to another topic which is marriage and how life became more and more difficult that guys really can't afford getting married and they blame the girls families how they shouldn't ask for high maher and so on but lets face it u can't give up on every thing ....

-Jordan is considered to be a very beautiful country and we have good resources here but I feel that we r not doing our best to make it more beautiful and attract the tourists .... we don't have that much of public places and if we do people really start to ruin it and I don't know why !!!! it's ur country u have to keep every thing clean and great; even make it better !!

-Something else I would love to talk about which is the security and the police in Jordan, I feel really proud of it because they r doing their best to keep the country safe .... whenever something bad happens I always tell my self they won't get away with it; the Jordanian force or police r very intelligent and will do their best to catch the bad guys and keep us safe

-Since she is a world figure not just Jordanian or Arabic I have to say something about our beloved Queen .... she just makes us proud and give a great example of all the Arab women .... Talented beautiful smart and classy lady which we all admire and we have to be lucky to have her as Jordanian .... We love Em Husaain

-how about accidents and the nasty way people drive in this country .... sometimes I see guys driving fast in a very bad way Oh god they will cause an accident and kill somebody then crying for the sake of their future and dragging their families with full of shame to ask for other’s forgiveness !! is this what u want ? slowing down won't kill u but fasting will .... the new rules r good and I hope it will have some effect on the rate of car accidents in our country

U can't talk about Jordan without mentioning Mansaf I love mansaf and yes with jameed karaki not with laban rayeb :D it's a great invention indeed :D

- I love Petra .... more than u imagine and i can go their every week

- I don't know if it's just in Jordan but It surprises me when I know how much highly educated some guys can be and they talk in a very open minded way but when they face some issues u know how backwards and closed minded they r .....

I have to go to work now but I might come back and add few things
