Yesterday I read an article in a magazine, about the Veil (I contacted the magazine so I can post the article here or put a link and waiting for their reply)
The article is all about kinds of discrimination Muhajabat girls might face in Jordan, YES in Jordan!! I was shocked from the incidents happen!! I mean yes there r some cases especially in work interviews …. Many companies don’t prefer a girl wearing Hijab …. And their excuses start from the look which communicates modesty and conservatism (this is what they think), company policy, to the point of labeling muhajabat of being unintelligent, uncultured and backward!!!! what??? With such excuses I think they r missing what is going on the world around them ! I will leave this to ur judgment ....
But the thing I my self never been aware of is that, some places here in Jordan don't allow muhajabat !!!! I mean they (muhajabat Girls) do for example a reservation in a specific restaurant or coffee shop but when they get to the place, they have been told that no such reservation took place !! that girl did the reservation again with different name and had the same attitude !!! and this has been justified by "this is not a place for hijab; we are not all that different from nightclubs" well I think we r free to go any where it's not anybody's business night club or not .....
Maybe most of people think that Muhajabat were being forced to wear Hijab which is at least in my case wrong .... I came from a conservative family but also free .. how is that ? well my Dad never forced me or any of my sisters to wear hijab .... 2 of them did wear hijab when they finish college but I wear it when I was 14 years old by my self, despite the fact that Hijab is a must in Islam but if I never wear it, my dad would say nothing as long as I respect my self and wear proparly.

From what I see, seems that the world's biggest problem nowadays is the Veil (al hejab) but they don't know that their actions make us more convinced and more attached to it.

Nonesense!
What has Hijab to do with whether the girl is qualified and fit for the job or not?

Ummm..the thing is a little bit bigger than the viel, it's that sick " first impression " look to Islam, and sad to say that " Tafahet" most of the people that prevent them to look deeper than the look of the person.

You reminded me of an article copied to a website , the Christians members of that site start a war and they said Hijab dehumanizing women , the admin of the site supported them and finally he banned this member with a msg "Ay 6eeeeeeeeeeeeer ya garafetna bree7et el ba9al ma 7ada m3abby 3ainak te7ky mab3ooth men 3and Allah t9ale7 hal 3alam 9alle7 7alak w ye5lef 3alaik ya"
